It makes quite a bit of noise, it’s not as quiet as it seems, and it’s made entirely of foam rubber.
There is another silent basketball ball product that cost me less than €3 (I think it was on sale but it doesn’t matter), BOTA MAS because it has an air chamber that doesn’t deflate and is MUCH MORE SILENT. I don’t recommend this product very much.
