Although shipping took a little longer to send out (2-3 days after i placed my order), i’m very happy to say that it was all worth the wait once i received it. I was a bit skeptical on ordering, but i placed my order only for it to be a genuine arkos r36s! Tested it by removing the stock sd cards and booted it up, nothing came up which verifies as genuine arkos. Comes with a charger, all buttons work beautifully, all games work perfectly well. It comes with nintendo games, spyro, mario, kirby, yu-gi-oh, etc. The only thing i’d recommend to the seller is to perhaps change the sd cards to something more reliable since the console comes with unbranded sd cards, but no big deal since you can flash the games onto a more reliable card. Other than that, i’m definitely happy with my purchase and can’t wait to buy more consoles from this store. Highly recommend !

Visually it’s a great looking device. It only took my kids a few mins to figure it out how to get through the different game system options and find guys they wanted to play. The only thing we couldn’t easily figure out was how to close out one game to get back to the menu and not have to reset the whole device. We figured out you press select and start twice at the same time.

Of course, for the price it’s a replica, but the manufacturing quality is better than I expected. I don’t see things in poor condition or games that are malfunctioning. The ArkOS system and firmware have received more support recently, so it is possible to update or recreate the microSD without much trouble.
In general, I recommend this product, although if you have doubts because it is a replica, perhaps you should look for a more expensive one from another supplier.

Now as far as being an oroginal r36s, seems to be hit or miss here. Mine is a genuine r36s, but seems from other reviews, that has not been the case, unfortunately.

Good morning, I am Italian and I have just received my R36s console. Unfortunately, I realized too late that the world of these consoles is diverse and carries the risk of encountering clones. I received a clone, v20 2015 05 18, which, as you can see in the photo, has a total of 640MB. It is clearly visible that mine has installed ArkOs4Clone, which I installed myself by searching for the .dtb file within the integrated SD card. (Mine is a type 3) I therefore confirm the possibility and compatibility of ArkOs4Clone on this Clone. Now, will you tell me why you left 5 stars? Let’s start by saying that with a coupon I paid €22.00 for the R36S, which has a fantastic display, solid buttons, and everything seems quite decent. Reading online, devices with low RAM are less performant, and it didn’t seem right to me to keep it like that even though I paid €22 for it. In agreement with the seller, I received a refund of €9, which, when subtracted from the €22, makes €13, gentlemen! At €13, it’s an absolute best buy! !

Great item this is actually my second one i purchased. I purchased one for my husband for christmas and his father loved it so i brought one for him for his birthday. It has a great display easy to use buttons and a large variety of games. The battery life is great and so is the playability however it dose struggle to play games from newer consoles like n64.

Well made little handheld. It is a clone, check aeolusux github repo, down the bottom there is a screen tool link, go to that page, down the bottom it explains the only way to properly check using the boot partition of the sd card for certain dtb files. This has the evb dtb file. But its a good clone (its an open source handheld after all) and you can use the k36 arkos (not discontinued, another has picked it up), and even put rocknix on it (check handhelds.wiki). It seems to have all the correct hardware, very nice screen, and lots of games all organized well through emulation station.

The gameplay is smooth, navigation is mostly easy, and it has all the fun games i was looking forward to, except crazy taxi 2. The protective screen was tricky to put on because of the bubbles and dirt hiding on the protective screen (that might be my fault). I don’t know if this is a genuine r36s or not, but i personally don’t care because it seems to work exactly the same. I recommend this product if you’re not picky. The blue color is nice! I even found a gem in this console: the game hydro thunder. I grew up on hydro thunder hurricane, so it definitely brings back good memories.

As a retro gamer from the 80s i would highly recommend the 128gig version as it has zx spectrum on it. . . Screen is amazing. . The only recommendation is buy a branded sd card and copy the files to that as the one that came with mine died after a few days of use
