It works with light rust, struggles with old paint. I use it for cleaning stone/concrete(it’s far from a profesjonal air powered sandblaster), the nozzle lasts for an hour of sandblasting.

The jet is very good, sometimes it gets stuck but that must be because I haven’t learned how to use it properly. It cleans rust very well; I need to test it on concrete to see if it removes it.
