Pleased with the build quality. Specification is accurate. It was easy to set these up in homeassistant (zigbee2mqtt). I bought three. The only issues are: reported battery shows between 5% and 20% even with fresh batteries, and it’s not as sensitive as i’d like. That means it loses occupancy detection if i sit still. It acts more like a good motion sensor. Apparently that is to be expected from a battery-powered mmwave device though. The temperature, luminance, and humidity readings are fine. Happy overall, and amazing for the price

This model, the hobeian zg-204zv, is one of the best value zigbee sensors for use with home assistant.
It’s an excellent choice because of its high cost-performance thanks to its rich feature set: a 10 ghz radar sensor (for precise presence detection), plus temperature, humidity, and illuminance sensors.
Its low running cost is another major benefit, as it uses readily available aaa batteries. Combining the low purchase price with minimal maintenance fees, the zg-204zv is arguably the most outstanding overall zigbee sensor for home assistant, and it fully supports mqtt.

Device is very response and triggers to ha / zha quite fast. Unfortunately it is a motion sensor, not a presence sensor – to be fair to seller it is described as such – however i am generally more familiar with mmwave devices that are also presence sensors so was a little disappointed .

Amazing little sensors that integrate well in home assistant via z2m. I have these in every room. You can do the usual presence sensing for light control, but what i’ve found most useful is the humidty sensor which allows me to trigger appropriate devices to around the home to dehumidify. The only downside is the mmwave isn’t picking up presence when people are sleeping.
