Greetings from Germany! I bought the retro console for our trip, especially for the kids. At first, I was skeptical and expected shaky workmanship and faulty software – but I was pleasantly surprised. The console feels good in hand, is cleanly crafted, the display is top-notch, the sound is okay. There are countless games preinstalled, unfortunately not Minecraft. Only critical point: The loud music at startup – so far I haven’t found a way to lower the startup volume. The included protective film could not be applied without bubbles for me. Instead, I ordered a case with tempered glass for under 2 euros – and immediately got a second console as well. Clear recommendation! Have fun gambling – and only the SGE!

This r36s is great. Works well and the buttons and d-pad feel good quality.
I believe this is an original unit as it runs arkos 2.0 and usually clones run arkos – k36 (which is a version that runs on clone units).
I replaced the micro sd card as the supplied one is an unbranded cheap card (speeds may be slow and lifespan could potentially be significantly shorter)
The unit runs most games vey well, only seems to struggle on a few n64 games and atari jaguar games.
Playstation runs very well!
I recommend this purchase to any retro gamers out there!

Exactly as advertised. I highly recommend reinstalling the software and os yourself from the open source website. There are too many additional files (suspicious) installed into the os, including an info scraper. I would not connect it to your home network until you have done that. Other than that, amazing bit of kit. Good screen quality. Going to make amazing gifts for the young ones. Just make sure you reinstall it yourself!! !

Great console for children from the 90s and not only 🙂 The console came with one 128GB card that had the system and games. I immediately transferred the games to the new 128GB card and loaded the system (AeolusUX) onto the 32GB card. The console has space to insert a WiFi module, but I bought a USB dongle and it works too. There are many games, including Stardew Valley from the newer games. A great option for a gift for someone or for yourself.

No one seems to answer this question, so i will ” yes , it does have pokémon red, blue and yellow (plus others but us older millennials know we wanted the og ones). Feels more expensive than what it is , the games play smoothly. I got 2 one in purple for myself and one in black for my son, they look awesome. Don’t go to gamelab where you’ll buy the same thing for £20 more! It is literally the same console but gamelab markets it like they invented it (they didn’t)

It’s a little marvel. Like a little dream of my younger self from when I was 14 years old. It is advisable to extract the information from the card that arrives and then search for images there to put on a new card of good quality. Although I played a bit with the one that arrived to me and it has continued to work until I put a new 256GB image that’s more refined than the default one. There are many filler ROMs and some that may not work well, but it’s a matter of searching and finding the good ones. At the price it is, it’s very good. I thought I would play a little and I play every day discovering or rediscovering gems from childhood. Amazing what people do with Portmaster. There is a very large community of players who contribute things for this console. It’s very worth it and I hope it lasts for me.

Super device for almost 35 euros, everything works as it should, only the seal over the SD card slot makes it difficult to remove. Recommend everyone to secure the card because at this low price, you can’t expect it to work forever. Simply clone the card with Win32 Disk Imager without any fancy experiments with firmware or anything else. The N64 runs smoothly and even many PSP titles can be played without lag. Updates via smartphone USB tethering are also possible, and even Steam games (Ports/Portmaster) enhance the device. I rediscovered some beads from my childhood and two people in my circle of acquaintances have already gotten this device because they were amazed by mine. PlugNPlay, plug and play, without updates or hidden costs regardless of whether it’s 8Bit, 16Bit, 32Bit

I recently got the r36s retro handheld game console and i’m genuinely impressed. Initially i ordered from another place and got a clone, but this time i received an original unit and everything worked perfectly out of the box. The build quality is solid, the screen is bright, and the controls are responsive, though the ergonomics decrease on longer play sessions. I like the additional screen protector they added. Its greatest strength is the huge pre-installed game library covering multiple classic consoles. Even better, adding more games is quick and simple via sd card. Love it! All the games from my childhood on 1 console. Playing old school Donkey Kong, Pokémon, Zelda and Mario again. And there are thousands of other games on there. Currently playing Pokémon Heartgold. So far I’ve tried everything works perfectly. It was a bit of a struggle figuring out how to save and reopen it, but once you get the hang of it, everything works very smoothly. Shipping and receiving were also very fast. I did replace the memory card with a good one because I read online that this was recommended. I have ordered another console for the kids. I would say, don’t hesitate but go ahead and buy. Class wee device! Takes a bit to get used to the navigation. Navigation through games is great, thousands to get through. Quality of play is great. I love how in the arcade section you hit ‘select’ to insert coins . – some tips for beginning to navigate are – select & x to get out of a game, ‘close content’, then ‘quit’. For turning off – start then navigate to ‘quit’ and then shutdown. Also you can change the controls to suit yourself, d-pad or thumb stick, a lot seem to be set up for left thumb stick, easy switch to the right if ya need it. Also it defaults to the platforms button layout – e.g. Playstation o, triangle, square, x are the default layout for ps games so if it says x you have to hit b. Also different platforms use b as confirm instead of a, but you get used to it. – once you twig to how it operates it is quite a smart system.

Incredible quality for the price. Excellent performance, much more powerful than one would expect for the price. There are many customization options if you are comfortable with computers. I recommend buying the smaller capacity one and getting a good quality SD card separately. It’s not easy to format the new SD card but there are guides on the internet, after that it will work better and there’s less risk of losing saved games and titles. It’s also preferable to get your own games rather than using the ones it comes with.

R36s , small and practical. Don’t expect a super fast and modern system for an emulator gaming system. The r36s runs smoothly up to ps1 , psp and dreamcast are good but on some 3d titles it could be necessary to change some settings or simply they are just playable. The r36s is perfect for traveling or if you need to spend a couple of hours on an airplane or on the train. It’s light and practical and fits perfectly in the pocket. For this price and for the offer catalogue, it’s more than fine to me.

The emulator does its job, the adjustment and settings for an ideal emulation are a bit cumbersome, but a few tutorials on the internet can help you learn more about the device and use it at its maximum power.
It is a perfect device for emulating Game Boy, Advance, Color, and all single-screen, 2D, and some early 3D emulators.
It struggles with the PlayStation 1 and DS emulation, but overall it’s an excellent device if you want to play for fun and spend a few hours.
