Its a lot heavier than the other (cheap) ones i found on temu. Meaning this is a coil based unit and not cheap ip circuitry which mimics coil and often overheat. Only true coil based units can take the heat and distribute it for even cooling/heating without burning out like the ip circuitry ones do with cheap ip chips.

Overall i’m very satisfied with this outlet, i purchased 3 of them. It would be nice if the edges extended a bit more so that it can be placed on the wall outlet without the standard plate remaining so that it fully cover the drywall cutout, but i knew that before ordering. There is a problem with the hole where the retaining screw fits – it tapers to a smaller diameter from outside edge to where the screw head bottoms so that the screw head is bound up before reaching the full depth. I ran a 1/4 inch drill bit to ream the hole so that the screw could be used as intended; so not a deal breaker. The usb voltage is 5.5 volts, not 5 volt…however i think this is fine as electronic devices have circuitry to deal with voltage variations.

Very functional, I have tested it and all contacts work, including the USB-C for charging the phone, very functional. There is always a light on the USB in red (orange) although it’s not bothersome, just consider that it will always be consuming energy.

On one of these the usb-c outlet was misaligned with the housing. It would be a perfect product if the housing completely covered the outlet instead of simply resting on top of it.
