KC10HD – Safety Spring Door Closer

4-1/4″, Diecast, White

These safety spring-activated door closers are constructed of diecast materials and come in a white painted finish. They are U.L. listed with a 1/2 hour fire rating, and can be used to close doors weighing up to 150 lbs. These closers feature an adjustable closing speed, and they are non-handed, allowing them to be used on both left and right-handed swinging doors. Both the closer and the plastic slide plate are surface-mounted and are easy to install.

  • Used to convert right or left hinged doors to self-closing doors
  • 1 in. wide base, 4-1/4 in. hole center spacing, 4-3/4 in. arm
  • These safety closers feature an adjustable closing speed and they can close doors weighing up to 150 lbs

    Will buy another one.

    Installation was simple. I was lacking a screw to affix the door slider, but I had one lying around so no biggie. Took me less than 5 mins, and I’m not really much of a handyman. I am thinking about buying another one for other doors in the house. It’s a quality build, worth every penny. Only minor gripe I have is that it was missing a screw. I’m hoping it’s a fluke.

    I like that this is a slow gentle closer versus the ones that bang the door shut.

    Works well but needs greasing

    Works good. Wish I could fine tune the tension with greater accuracy but it does the trick. Also note it’s pretty noisy so I opened it up and used lithium grease inside. Problem solved, it’s been quite for 4 weeks and counting with regular daily use.

    Easy to install and works great!

    I’m not one to leave reviews (good or bad) but I was so impressed with how quick and easy it was to install (It took less than 5 mins) and how well it works, I had to jump on and leave a 5 star review. Would definitely recommend!

    My dog opens the door and this device closes it

    I took it apart and added grease to spring as reviews said it squeezed after some use. I have never heard mine squeak and have had it install for about 6 months now. Works well.

    Works great!

    I have a washroom door I need closed so my dogs don’t get into it and this was EXACTLY the product I needed to make it work.Being able to adjust the tension on the bar is helpful to prevent the door from slamming. I have it set to push close firmly enough to latch, but with less force.Installation was a breeze. Very straightforward.
