Cannot fully close the door
After installed, the door is heavy to open. Adjusted according to the manual, it improved a little, but still heavy. The annoying part is it doesn’t have enough power to close the door fully. I don’t know what else I can do.

Instructions were poor and it never worked correctly… then broke
The door is supposed to be light enough for children. My 7 year old granddaughter struggled to open it, unless we adjusted it to the point it only opened about two feet. Then, it would slam shut so quickly she was at risk of injury. We followed the difficult instruction, put a bunch of holes in the door, watched videos and it was always all or nothing. Then one of the screws started popping out, shooting across the room accompanied by hydrolic fluid. I’d return it if I could, but we are a few days too late (since purchasing it, I got sick and couldn’t deal with it.)

Good Product. Below 5-star Installation instructions and packaging.
While I generally love how the product works after you FINALLY figure out their instructions, it would be way better if the installation instructions were better. For example, the parts are not first labeled before the instructions so you have to deal with the confusion as you install. Also, a part (the dust cover) of the product seems to always come broken. I ordered a replacement for the first one, and the second one also came broken. I was tired to do the process again and so I just used the product like that. I love the product but they need to improve their packaging and installation instructions.But also, it’s important to mention their replacement was swift and easy.

I was a little leary after reading some of the negative reviews but this was a great purchase. It was quick and easy to install, and it works great. How long it will last I don’t know but it seems solid and went in with no trouble.

excellent parenting tool! (And closes the door properly)
So I have two teenage boys who have set up a man cave in the basement. They go through the garage to get there, but they are CONSTANTLY leaving the garage door open. I started looking for something that would close it for them since yelling at them isnt working. I read the reviews, saw that a lot of people complained about the install, or that it was too hard to push open. I figured with teenage boys, eh, who cares they can push a little harder. So i unbox, it all looked very simple. I read the directions, it looked simple. There were also inserts explaining how to redo the install if it is too hard to open. When i found those I said AHH HA! This must be in response to the reviews! But i followed the recommended original instructions and found everyone was right. And now I have extra holes in my door. I blame myself, as much as the manufacturer as i read the reviews, i should have just did what the reviewers said. The only reason i didnt was because it is a heavy door and figured it needed the extra push. NOPE! Ok, so once i installed it a second time the default setting wasnt enough to close the door. So i decided to adjust it all the way up and test it out and would then readjusted it down to the right level. But when I tested it out on the highest speed and saw how quickly the door slammed shut i got an idea….. lets just leave it like this and scare the crap out of my teenagers that caused me to spend 70 dollars (i needed one for the basement door too) all because they wont listen. So pushing harder, and having the door swing back at them will be a reminder everytime they go to their mancave….. worked like a charm. I am now in love with this product. It works great (once you adjust it) and if you choose not to adjust it, it works as an excellent parenting tool. Thank you!
